ILLINOIS LEADERSHIP SUMMIT is a chance for you to connect with other leaders and share what they’re experiencing as well as hear from leaders who specialize in preparing churches for the future. 

SPEAKER

DANIEL YANG

Daniel Yang is the National Director of Churches of Welcome at World Relief. He’s been an engineer, pastor, church planter, and missiologist. He is also the co-author of “Inalienable: How Marginalized Kingdom Voices Can Help Save the American Church” (InterVarsity, May 2022). He lives with his family in Aurora, IL.

KELLY KANNWISCHER

Kelly Kannwischers passion is to empower leaders to unleash their hidden potential, transforming it into a driving force that sparks genuine motivation and impactful action. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband Richard. Their older daughter is a student at the University of Georgia and their younger daughter is a student at Trinity University.  When not coaching or optimizing non-profit strategy and operations, she’s on the golf course and enjoying the outdoors.

PAUL COOPER

Paul Cooper has been at Marshall Baptist church since July of 2007 as the lead pastor. He has a lovely wife named Amy and 3 daughters (Abigail, Sadie, & Molly). He likes to say he is the minority in the sorority. His passion is seeing people come to Jesus and then learn to grow as followers. He also loves Star Wars, cheering on the Marshall Lions, and for some unknown reason he is a Miami Dolphins fan.

TYLER STERCHI

Tyler Sterchi has served in pastoral ministry for 17 years at New Hope Church, a multi-site church with campuses in Effingham, Jasper, and Shelby Counties. He became the Lead pastor at New Hope in 2020. New Hope has a vision and commitment to seeing a greater movement of Jesus in each new generation, which has shaped their team and ministries to be intentional about empowering and equipping the next generation of leaders and disciples.He lives in Effingham, IL with his wife, Lindsay, and his twin ten-year-old daughters, Addison and Felicity.
