proclaiming the good news
John 3:16 is perhaps the most well-known Bible verse, encapsulating the very essence of the gospel: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
On Sunday, March 16, 2025, join churches and communities across the nation as we come together to intentionally share the good news of Jesus Christ.
don't miss march 16-
a note from nate adams
While almost any day can give you or me an open door to talk with someone about Jesus, we often miss those opportunities because we’re busy or distracted, or maybe just a little nervous or fearful.
Personally, I’ve found there are three things that help me more consistently share my faith:
- Intentionality – simply reminding myself that sharing the gospel pleases the Lord, and is the best gift I can give anyone, and that in my heart I want to do it. I just need a declaration of my will to get started!
- Partnership – knowing I’m not alone me gives me courage, boldness, and accountability. And my partners and I can be confident the Holy Spirit is going ahead of us in Jesus’ mission to seek and save the lost!
- An Occasion or Opening – just some natural way of starting a spiritual conversation can make all the difference.
This year, March 16 can help us in all three of those ways! John 3:16 is probably the most universal and concise verse used in communicating the Gospel. This year having 3/16 fall on a Sunday creates a special occasion that can mobilize your entire church. That special occasion is being adopted by thousands of other churches and believers, who together in gospel partnership will use “3/16” to be intentional about inviting people to church, and about beginning gospel conversations or presentations.
Whether you’re a pastor or a layperson, this March 16 your church can be part of a nationwide movement to intentionally share the good news about Jesus with others.
