Streator Cleaning Project
Background
Streator Baptist Camp has been a wonderful resource for Illinois Baptist Churches through summer camps, group retreats, and pastor prayer retreats. The camp has seen many come to Christ and even more grow in their relationship with Him. One of the important things at Streator is limiting possible distractions and creating a pleasant environment that allows for people to reconnect with Jesus and each other. This project consists of deep cleaning the buildings around camp and getting them ready for the summer visitors. Though it sounds simple this is a huge task that requires the help of volunteer mission teams.

This project will consist of cleaning all buildings and making them ready for camps to start in July. The buildings are regularly cleaned thorough out the year but also need a good spring cleaning to deep clean the camp. Things that will need to be done are listed below.

Logistics
This project can be completed in 1-2 days by a group of 10 or more. It could also be a week-long project for a group of 5-10. This project would be great for families, youth, or seniors. It requires no heavy lifting, but there might be some standing on ladders. We are asking that the group leader work with the camp manager in advance in preparation of the project. All the supplies for this project will be provided by the camp. This is a spring project that needs to be completed no later then June 1st.
Lodging is available at the camp for free. Groups that choose to stay overnight will be offered a campfire and hayrides. The camp will provide snacks and drinks during the project, but all meals will be the responsibility of the group. The camp can provide meals for $6.50 per person per meal. A kitchen is available for groups who would like to cook their own meals (the camp manager can offer more details).
